American Canyon

is located at the southern tip of Napa Valley,

California American Canyon is located just north of Vallejo, California in Solano County, east of City of Sonoma in Sonoma County and West of The City of Suisun in Solano County and might have become part of Vallejo but for the fact that it is physically located inside of Napa County. When American Canyon wanted more local control, setting up its own city was the logical outcome.

AMERICAN CANYON, incorporated in 1992

is the second largest city (population, 9,217) in the Napa Valley surpassed only by City of Napa. American Canyon has spent I several years setting up government and in 1995 it adopted a general plan that will guide growth.
