Sport, considered by some
as entertainment and by others as exercise, is an activity that
is governed by a set
of rules or customs and often engaged in
competitively. Sports commonly refer to activities where the physical
capabilities of the competitor are the sole or primary determiner of the
outcome (winning or losing), but the term is also used to include
activities such as mind sports and motor sports where mental acuity or
equipment quality are major factors such as in golf. sports betting or
gambling is part of the sports picture as gamblers, knowing sports
psychology and sports odds will bet on many activates sporting
activities.
Physical fitness (also known as:
personal fitness or health and fitness) is used in two
close meanings - general fitness (a state of health and well-being) and
specific fitness (a task-oriented definition based on the ability to
perform specific aspects of sports or occupations.)
