The Oakland and San Francisco Airports are also available as is the Napa airport is you happen to be flying in using your own plane. 

Getting there and back is  is a matter of deciding your best options based on what you are doing and how long you are doing it.

For most visitors going to the Napa Valley it is most convenient to fly in at any of these airports and rent a car since it is a very good way to get around Napa Valley and the surrounding area. Other transportation is limited - public being unreliable and private (listed on the right) too expensive except for fun day trips. Enterprise Rent-A-Car and  Thrifty are good bets  because (the rates are discounted from their website above) they also have many local or nearby locations if you have any problems or want to trade the car for something else after you get to Napa.  Other modes of transportation are of course taxi or limo services which can be expensive for that long of a trip. Evans ( on the right) operates a bus service to and from Oakland and San Francisco airport but not Sacrament at this time.

For local going out to any of these airports, being dropped off by a relative or friend is  a good answer. You can of course park you car at the airport in long term parking, use Evans to SFO or Oakland and of course take a cab or limo. The latter are listed on this page.
